10 Tips For Internet Safety

1. Place the computer in a family area! No matter what!! 2. Create rules and consequences about online usage in general. 3. Create specific rules and consequences about Internet usage. 4. Be involved!!! 5. Go over all preferences, profiles (make sure there are none), lists, and other settings with your child. 6. Talk with your child about ethical and safety issues. 7. Use parental controls, filtering software and/or monitoring software. 8. Start a support group. 9. Be a role model. 10. Be a parent and take control of your child’s online life and safety!!!!
