BIOGRAPHY I was born in Quito – Ecuador. My husband, two daughters, and I moved to the United States, Hickory, North Carolina 5 years ago. I had been hired by an International Program that brought teachers from all over the world to this country. After my three year contract was done, I stayed here and had the opportunity to find a job here at St. Leo and I am very proud and happy to be teaching in this wonderful place for my third year. I am thankful for being in this Catholic environment with the St. Leo family.
After attending 14 years of School in “Colegio Americano de Quito” American School of Quito, I spent 3 years in Spain with my husband, then we went back to Ecuador and I became a “stay-at-home-mom” until my daughters were ready to go to school, then I started studying and earned a B.A. in Education for Elementary and Middle School. I returned to Colegio Americano as an English teacher for grade 1 for 6 years and then 2 years as a homeroom Spanish teacher in grade 4. When I came to the U.S., I taught in Public Schools as a Spanish and ESL teacher for 3 years. |
