Welcome to Fourth Grade at SLS.  I look forward to a terrific school year.  I have been in the education field for over 25 years.  I have a B.A. from Alvernia College in Reading, PA.  I am North Carolina certified in grades K-6.  In the past I have taught 1st grade, 5th grade, and remedial reading for the state of NJ.  My SLS experience includes 2nd grade assistant, Kindergarten assistant, and this is my ninth year as the 4th grade teacher at SLS.

I am married to John and we have two children.  Alex and Alison are graduates of SLS and BMCHS.  Alex attended UNC-Chapel Hill and is currently a first year law student at Villanova in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Alison is a junior at Elon University and is a Corporate Communication major.   I enjoy reading, traveling, and visiting our families who all live in the northeast.

I am presently a member of the Catholic School Writing Assessment Committee.  I am also a mentor teacher for the Charlotte Diocese.  I presently am on the Board of Education for St. Leo and Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School and I am representing BMCHS as a TRACs representative.

I firmly believe in Catholic education and love teaching at SLS.  My philosophy is to teach each fourth grade student to the best of his or her ability both spiritually and academically with love and respect.
