Biography

I was born and raised in Western Springs, Illinois which is a western suburb of Chicago.  My favorite subjects in school were science and music.  My favorite activities were hunter/jumper horseback riding and chorus.  I attended Manhattanville College for 2 years in Purchase, New York before transferring to the University of Florida.  I earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology at U of F and became an avid Gator football fan. Go Gators!  #1

My graduate education brought me to North Carolina where I earned a M.S.W. Degree from UNC-Chapel Hill.  Besides a great education, I learned there were other great sports besides Florida football …Carolina basketball.  Go Tarheels!

I moved to Winston-Salem and worked at Forsyth Hospital and then Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, before coming to St. Leo Catholic School.  Go Lions!

My wonderful family includes my husband, Larry and my daughter, Natalie, who is a student at our school.  Our family keeps busy coaching and attending Natalie’s softball, basketball, and volleyball activities throughout the year.  We have 2 pets, our German Shepard dog (Kelsey) and calico cat (Anastasia).
