St. Leo the Great Catholic School
333 Springdale Avenue
Winston-Salem, NC 27106
St. Leo School was built in 1953 and is the oldest Catholic school operating in the Winston-Salem area. Completely renovated in 2002, St. Leo School has a new middle school wing, and a refurbished elementary wing. Both feature internet-connected classrooms, and networked access to our new media center, which houses a collection of over 10,000 volumes and a new computer laboratory. The middle school wing houses our Middle School homerooms, Science lab, Math classroom, Music/Theatre Arts classes, Youth Ministry, Scouts, and our Library/Media center. It is an awesome facility. While technologically prepared for the new millennium, St. Leo's maintains its tradition of a strong Catholic-based education with an excellent academic program. We advocate caring, sharing, and doing for others to foster in young people a sense of positive self-worth, responsibility, and accomplishment.
St. Leo's accepts all denominations. Financial aid is available.
Accreditation: St. Leo School is fully accredited by the Catholic Diocese of Charlotte and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
