Prekindergarten

Prekindergarten is an exciting and fun-filled year!  The children will learn the skills necessary for success in Kindergarten.  Mrs. Ritz's goal is to create an inviting, loving and motivating environment to meet the needs of all types of learners.

The Prekindergarten curriculum includes Zoo Phonics, "I Am Special Religion Program," Spanish, Art. Music, Fitness. Library and Technology.  The Zoo Phonics program is a multi-sensory method for teaching Phonics.  We build on the lowercase letters learned in Preschool and introduce uppercase letters.  The "I Am Special Religion Program" provides learning experiences based on the young child's level of understanding and ability to participate.  Through the media of stories, songs, finger plays, games, dramatizations, lesson related prayers and sensory activities, children can realize God's love for them.

The program is from 8:30 to 11:30 am Monday through Friday.    It is for children who turn four by August 31st of the year of enrollment. We offer optional Lunch Bunch from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.  This program is registered for by the trimester and will be held only if we have at least 4 students registered for the session.
