Title: Ghost Ship ********************************************************** Author: Diane Carey Genre: Science Fiction Rating: 8 Critique: It was a very interesting book. It was the kind of book you don’t want to put down. It kept me at the edge of my seat. There are a lot of plot twists. It is hard to predict what is going to happen. The reader really gets into the book. Library Location: Public Library Becky Grade 8
Title: Planet Out of the Past ********************************************************* Author: James Lincoln Collier Genre: Science Fiction Rating: 7 Critique: I liked the book because it had action and kept the action up. Sometimes it went off the subject a little too much. Otherwise I liked the book. Library Location: St. Leo Main Library Austin Grade 6
Title: Remnants (Part I) ********************************************************** Author: Applegate, K.A. Genre: Science Fiction Rating: 9.5 Critique: This book is about a 667 mile long asteroid heading for Earth. The main characters are Sebastian Anderson (Jobs) and Romeo Gonzalez (Mo’stell). I would have given it a ten but it skips around sometimes. This book has mild violence and blood. This is a book I would recommend to my friends. Library Location: Borders Patrick Grade 6

Title: Stinker’s Return ********************************************************* Author: Pamela Service Genre: Science Fiction Rating: 8 Critique: Stinker’s Return is about an alien who came to earth and got a body without knowing he chose a skunk. It is very hilarious. Library Location: St. Leo Main Library Matt Grade 7
Title: The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde ********************************************************* Author: Robert Louis Stevenson Genre: Science Fiction/Mystery Rating: 7 Critique: I rate this book a seven out of ten because it is one big mystery story inside a very well-written science-fiction novel. I did not give it a 10 because, in my opinion, the ending just totally dropped with the death of Dr. Jekyll and his alter-ego Mr. Hyde. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good science fiction or mystery book. I also found it interesting how he could be so nice and civilized and then suddenly change into a madman and a killer. Those are the reasons why I gave it a seven. Library Location: Lewisville Library (also available at St. Leo School Library) Brian Grade 8
Title: A Swiftly Tilting Planet ********************************************************* Author: Madeleine L’Engle Genre: Science Fiction Rating: 7 Critique: the way Madeleine wrote was very realistic. But the reason I took 3 points off was because the way of time travel using the words “which, where, and within” made it very confusing. Library Location: Other Joseph Grade 7
Title: Watermusic ********************************************************* Author: Sarah Sargent Genre: Science Fiction Rating: 10 Critique: It was really good and interesting. Library Location: St. Leo Main Library Joanna Grade 7
