I teach science in middle school and am one of the Sixth Grade Home Room Teachers. I consider it a great honor to work with my colleagues, students, and parents at St. Leo Catholic School. My passion for teaching science has enabled me to continue teaching at this great school for the past seventeen years. I taught high school Biology in India before moving to the United States. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology and education from Bangalore University, India. I also have a license to teach science in North Carolina.
My family, including my husband, my daughter, and my son moved to the United States from India in 1998 and now we are proud citizens of this great country. Two years ago, I became a grandmother to my awesome grand-baby Georgina. I thank God for my wonderful and loving family. During my free time, I love to read, knit, cook, and shop. Most of all, I love to spend time with my grand-baby Georgina.
Each student with their unique qualities, needs a safe, caring, and stimulating environment to grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and socially. I believe St. Leo Catholic School provides such a nurturing environment for young minds and, as an educator, I intend to instill values toward their overall growth. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” is a verse from the Book of Psalms that has inspired me and hope it inspires my students as well.
