This is my third year as the Early Childhood Education Teacher at St. Leo Catholic School. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a specialization in Developmental Disabilities and Social Service from the University of Massachusetts and over 8 years of experience in early childhood education.
I had the privilege of taking some time off to raise my elementary school age children. During this time, I made the move from Massachusetts to North Carolina with my family. Both of my children have fond memories of the Prekindergarten Program at St. Leo Catholic School. My family and I are parishioners of Holy Family Catholic Church in Clemmons where I have taught 2nd grade Faith Formation for several years.
My experience as a mother in the St. Leo Catholic School community, along with the substitute teaching I have done in both the Preschool and Prekindergarten programs inspired me to join this vibrant faith based community.
I have many fun activities planned for Prekindergarten this year. My goal in prekindergarten is to educate and nurture the curiosity of each child and to consider the growth of the whole child including their academic, social, spiritual and physical development. Young children learn through play so we will be doing lots of this as your child laughs and learns during the school year.
