FACTS Tuition Management Information and FAQ Flyer
We believe finances should never discourage a family from exploring a St. Leo education. We encourage families of all faiths and backgrounds to apply for tuition assistance if they believe they may have financial need.
Families seeking school-based tuition assistance must first apply and be accepted to St. Leo Catholic School. School-based financial aid applications are reviewed through FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, an independent service that objectively evaluates each family's financial circumstances to help ensure tuition assistance is awarded fairly and consistently.
Applications submitted by April 15 receive first-round consideration.
St. Leo Catholic School proudly participates in the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship Program through NCSEAA.
Many families are surprised to learn they qualify for this scholarship, so we encourage every North Carolina family to apply, even if you are unsure whether you will be eligible. Award amounts are based on household income and can significantly reduce the cost of tuition and required school fees.
The Opportunity Scholarship application window for first-round awards is typically February 1 through March 1.
Who Can Apply?
Parents or guardians of North Carolina students entering kindergarten through 12th grade may apply. Students must:
Be at least 5 years old by August 31, or at least 4 years old by April 16 and approved for kindergarten according to North Carolina guidelines.
Live in North Carolina.
Not have graduated from high school.
Not be enrolled full time in a post-secondary institution.
Scholarship awards are based on household income.
How Much Can My Family Receive?
Opportunity Scholarship awards vary based on household income and are determined annually by the State of North Carolina. Awards may be used toward tuition and required school fees at eligible private schools such as St. Leo Catholic School.
Families may still be responsible for certain school fees not covered by the scholarship.
