Elementary School Curriculum
Our faith-based liberal arts curriculum for our elementary grades teaches literacy through research-based instruction in phonics, grammar, written expression and handwriting. Students gain mathematical analytical skills and science acumen, exposure beginning in Kindergarten to the Spanish language, music and art appreciation, as well as teamwork through athletic programming.
Kindergarten
- Religion: Focuses on God's love and introduces the rosary.
- Math: Covers numbers 1–100, basic operations, geometry, time, money, and measurement.
- Reading: Introduces letter sounds, blending, and reading decodable texts.
- Science: Topics include forces and motion, weather, plants, animals, and environmental protection.
- Social Studies: Explores citizenship, geography, history, and community.
First Grade
- Religion: Introduces the mysteries of the Catholic faith, including the Trinity and sacraments.
- Language Arts: Focuses on phonics, reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary.
- Math: Emphasizes addition and subtraction, place value, measurement, and time.
- Science: Covers topics like plants, animals, weather, and basic physics.
- Social Studies: Explores community, geography, and basic economics.
Second Grade
- Religion: Prepares students for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.
- Reading: Continues with phonics, fluency, and comprehension using the Superkids program.
- Math: Focuses on addition and subtraction, place value, measurement, and time.
- Science: Explores topics like plants, animals, weather, and basic physics.
- Social Studies: Covers community, geography, and basic economics.
Third Grade
- Religion: Studies faith, the Apostles' Creed, and the mysteries of the Rosary.
- Language Arts: Includes grammar, writing, and vocabulary development.
- Math: Covers multiplication, division, fractions, and geometry.
- Science: Focuses on ecosystems, matter, and energy.
- Social Studies: Explores communities, geography, and history.
Fourth Grade
