Extended Day Options
To meet the needs of our community, St. Leo Catholic School offers the following Extended Day Options for all students in prekindergarten through 8th grade:
BEFORE SCHOOL CARE
Hours: 7:15-7:45am
Fee: $1 per day per child
The St. Leo Before School Program will be located in the library from 7:15 am to 7:45 am when students will be released to their classrooms. Students should be dropped off at the front doors.
AFTER SCHOOL CARE
The St. Leo After School Care Program is designed to meet the specific needs of children and parents. Students are supervised in a safe recreational and academic environment. The schedule includes structured homework time including computer time, arts and crafts and videos. We provide quality child-care, which parents can rely upon throughout the school year.
The registration fee is $25 per family. This fee is non-refundable and will be billed to your FACTS Incidental Billing plan. Once you've submitted the registration form, you will be prompted to update your list of people that are authorized to pick your children up from the St. Leo After School Care Program. You must complete a new registration form each year.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Normally, the program will operate from the time school is dismissed until 6:00 p.m in the Parish Center. (Parents should park by the Ava Maria Courtyard and walk down the hill to the Parish center to sign their child/children out of After School Care). After School Staff can be reached, between 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at 336-748-8252. Occasionally, the program will close at the early dismissal time due to holiday schedules. Parents can choose a monthly plan that fits their after-care needs or choose the Drop-In Plan. The fee schedules for both plans are below.
2020-2021 St. Leo After-Care Plan Fee Schedule
Part Time: School dismissal until 4:30 PM
Full Time: School dismissal until 6:00 PM
Drop In Fee Schedule
- Students will be charged $8 per day per student if student is picked up by 4:30 PM
- Students will be charged $15 per day per student if they are picked up after 4:30 PM
- ** A Late fee of $10 per half hour will be charged if parents are late picking up their children after 6PM with a minimum of $10.
- Students will have access to the computer lab between the hours of 3-4PM for the purpose of doing homework or research. A staff member will be present to make sure students are kept on task and to help with work
If your child requires an Epi-Pen be kept in his backpack, please indicate it on the After School Care Form and notify the After School Care Supervisor when signing up for the activity. The Epi-Pen should be put in a separate container, clearly labeled with the care plan and include instructions inside as well.
If your child is on a sports team and attends After School Care before/after practice, the parent will be charged for the time they are signed in. The After School Care workers will sign them in/out for team practices held on-site. To ensure the safety of the children, parents must check them out of After School for games and accompany student athletes to the games. Athletes are not permitted to watch other teams’ games if they are attending After School Care.

Snow/Ice Policy: When the school opening is delayed, Before School Care is canceled. If school closed during the school day due to ice or snow, After School Care and extracurricular events are also canceled.
