School Leadership Council

The St. Leo School Leadership Council (SLC) is a consultative and advisory body that supports the mission of Catholic education by providing leadership, guidance, and strategic direction to the school administration. Established in alignment with the Diocese of Charlotte's commitment to Catholic formation and academic excellence, the SLC assists the Pastor and Principal in the development of long- and short-term goals, policies, and resource planning. Much like a Parish Pastoral Council, the SLC promotes open communication and collaboration to strengthen the relationship between the school, parish, and broader diocesan community. Rooted in the teachings of the Catholic Church, the SLC plays a vital role in ensuring that St. Leo Catholic School remains a vibrant, faith-filled, and academically strong environment for all families and students it serves.

The National Association of Boards, Commissions and Councils of Catholic Education of the NCEA honored St. Leo Catholic School with the 2006 Outstanding Board Award in recognition of outstanding contributions to Catholic education.

Athletic Association Board

The Athletic Association's mission is the advancement of Catholic education by promoting sports and fitness programs for the students of St. Leo Catholic School.  The Athletic Association Board of Directors meets regularly to review the programs and financial statements. The board strives to work in conjunction with the entire school community to support the physical health and well-being of all St. Leo students.

Elections are held annually each spring and parents are encouraged to participate.  If you are interested in serving, please contact the school office or a member of the board to learn more about the position in which you are interested.

Parent Teacher Organization Board

The Parent/Teacher Organization works to create a positive and collaborative environment at St. Leo Catholic School. It sponsors social events to foster a cohesive school community and raises money primarily through fundraisers. Monies raised by this organization directly benefit students by funding art programs, enriching the library, purchasing teaching materials, teacher lounge appreciation items, and carrying out other projects to maintain a productive atmosphere for students, faculty, and staff.

The Parent Teacher Organization encourages the school community to attend General Meetings at Christmas, during Catholic Schools Week and at the end of each year with the Athletic Association. The two groups work together to support and synchronize projects and events for the community.

Elections are held annually each spring and parents are encouraged to participate.  If you are interested in serving, please contact the school office or a member of the board to learn more about the position in which you are interested.
