School Profile
St. Leo Catholic School, a nationally recognized Blue Ribbon School, was built in 1953 and is the oldest Catholic school operating in the Winston-Salem area. St. Leo offers a strong Catholic education with an excellent academic program for pre-kindergarten through 8th grade. The school community strongly advocates caring, sharing, and doing for others to foster in young people a sense of positive self-worth, responsibility and accomplishment that benefit the community. Parents are to participate in a broad range of activities that support the school.
All students receive instruction in Religious Education, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, English/Language Arts, and Health/Fitness Education.
Expanded Programs with Related Arts and World Language Teachers include: Innovative Technology, Music Theater Arts, Information Literacy, Art, and Spanish. In addition, St. Leo Catholic School offers a Learning Support Program for students with identified learning needs.
