Library Aides

St. Leo Catholic School students in Fifth and Sixth Grades are eligible to serve as Library Aides. Library Aides learn about the Dewey Decimal System, library organization, and information management through hands-on experience as assistants to the librarian, shelving books for their classmates and helping to keep the library and its resources neat and welcoming for their fellow students.  Students work in the library in lieu of going to recess on a purely volunteer basis.  At the end of the year, students who have contributed an outstanding amount of time to helping maintain the library for the entire student body are recognized.
